Topic board.... LEGOS

Who doesn't love legos, our house has an amazing amount of legos. I put some in a small box on the therapy shelf so I can use them with William. Here are a few pecs I made to go with them, and a few RBW cards too.

Speak for yourself AAC app Icons

Since I am am starting high tech AAC with William, I started making icons to use with whatever app works with him.  That way the communication app matches his pecs at home!  We are currently using Speak For Yourself. Which has words that never move so the children can develop motor planning for each word.  This is why this was my first choice.  I made icons for every word on the front page!   I posted them on a dropbox account so that others can use them too, for speak for yourself or any aac app that lets you choose your own photos. I think the continuity is so important!

There are 96 by 96 size icons for SFY, there are larger size plain color icons. and there are larger size icons colored according to the fitzgerald key.

For those of you who are using paper pecs, these are all individual boardmaker pec icons!
Here is a screenshot of Williams front page! Of course he only has 7 of these words open....

Somethings wrong......

Any special needs parent knows that nothing is worse than your baby hurting and you have no idea why. I made several different things to try to get around this issue. Here is the first one, I printed it twice and used the second to cut out the PECS.

More RBW cards!! Dolch words first grade level

I love these Read... Build... Write... printables from home school creations.  I laminated them and have  made some custom cards for my kids to use with them. I made ones with some of Lily's favorite words like elephant and barnacle (thank you spongebob).  Anyhow I thought I would share some of the sets I made to use with them.

Here are some first grade dolch words.

Mini travel PECS.... I want and I feel

I made these to stick in the car just in case, or to stick in a diaper bag. They are tiny, a little under an inch. I never got around to printing them out, LOL. but I figured I would post them.

Random PECS to go.

So I made some PECS with  extra laminating on the side (so the punch won't go through the pec), and punched holes in them. I put them on a lanyard so I can wear them when we are out to communicate with William. There are also a few extras in there and some that are specific to him, sorry, but please use them if you like!

SO I wanted to share a couple books I made

I made a book for William in hopes he will develop an interest in his family, or books, or something....  Each Page is a person in the family and goes along the lines of "this is my brother , sister, mother etc. His name is ALEX."  For now We only say the names and I do try to get him to match our pecs with the pages..  Lily is very eager, she loves the family book more than he does!

I made the pumpkin one for Lily, you can find and print it out here.  I got it free, its now 3 dollars.

And Lastly, I am begging people to please share my fundraiser for William's communication device.  I wish I had a larger presence on the internet, but if people share it on facebook, it will help. The more people who see it the better.

STOP, Wait, All Done

I needed a few large cards to place in strategic places around my home, and to use for therapy time. SO here they are 3 inch. Also a second of some random mixed things I needed.  Trying to teach William that the oven isn't safe...... Not going to well admittedly.
